Red flag warning for proposed wildlife refuge


From the GOP-threatened National Weather Service: a large portion of the proposed Greater Missouri Basin National Wildlife Refuge is under a red flag warning.

FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR WYOMING FIRE WEATHER
ZONES 259 AND 298 AND SOUTH DAKOTA FIRE WEATHER ZONES 263 AND 265...

.HOT AND VERY DRY WEATHER IS EXPECTED TODAY. A DEEPLY MIXED LOWER
ATMOSPHERE WILL BRING MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES DOWN TO 8 TO
15 PERCENT...AND GUSTY WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP. THE
STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE FOUND ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL SD. CRITICAL
FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR THESE AREAS.
