Portman mincing former life with war criminals

Rob Portman sure is a boring guy: hard to imagine that he could be a very effective campaigner where he would be constantly answering questions about his role in war crimes and crimes against humanity.

He recently gave an interview to Alexander Bolton at The Hill. Here is an outline:
Portman was careful to not criticize Bush while detailing the challenges he faced from other administration officials, whom he declined to name. He, like other Republicans, is jockeying to be Mitt Romney’s running mate. Portman was close with Bush when he served in the House. The 56-year-old legislator later served as Bush’s U.S. Trade Representative before heading the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Bush remains unpopular with independent voters.
President Obama leads in Portman's state.
